April 2026 Updates: Sharing, Community, and More
New sharing and community features, custom card sets, and other improvements.
Written by: Charlie Murphy
A couple of months ago we sent out a survey to explore ideas around sharing and community features in Genderfluent. How can Genderfluent help you connect with other people? Like your voice coach, friends, or fellow learners. Read more about the motivation behind these features in our blog post: Voice training is better together. If you didn’t take the survey, we still want to hear from you!
Today, we’re excited to share new features inspired by that survey are now live on the web, iOS, and Android versions of Genderfluent.
Connect and share recordings with others
You can now connect with other Genderfluent users to easily share recordings with a few taps, no copying links or switching apps. When you share, you can also include a custom feedback request to ask about specific qualities like:
- Perceived gender
- Clarity and intelligibility
- Nasality
- Overall naturalness

Groups
Instead of sharing with just one person, you can also create a group. Groups are small communities where members can share recordings and give each other feedback. Whether it’s a group of friends, people from r/Genderfluent, or anyone going through voice training at the same time, groups make it easier to stay motivated and accountable together.
Share with your voice coach
These features also make it easier to loop in a voice coach or speech therapist. Instead of trying to describe your practice or play recordings off your screen during a session, you can share directly in the app, giving your coach richer context and making sessions more productive.
Custom card sets
You can now upload your own custom card sets for practice sessions. If you have specific words, phrases, or sentences you want to drill, you can now bring them into the app via bulk upload.
Add notes and tags to your recordings
You can now add notes and tags to your recordings. This makes it easier to keep track of what you were working on in each recording, and to find specific recordings later on.
Coming soon
We’re excited to also let you know about a couple of other features we’re working on that will be coming in the next few months:
Chat: Practice your conversational cadence by chatting with an AI bot or with someone you know. Every conversation will include audio analysis and graphs for pitch, formants, and more; the same feedback you get from recordings, applied to natural back-and-forth dialogue.
Progress: A dedicated tab that shows how your voice has evolved over time. See the arc of your journey at a glance, from your earliest recordings to where you are today.
